Greek Minister of Defense Nikos Dendias is traveling to the United States today, Sunday, November 16, 2025, with planned visits to San Diego and San Francisco.
On Monday, November 17, 2025, in San Diego, Minister Dendias will visit the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC), the U.S. Navy’s premier center for information warfare. During his visit, he will tour the facilities, renowned internationally for their expertise in unmanned aerial and maritime vehicles, development of information systems, cyber warfare, and secure communications for ships, submarines, unmanned vehicles, and ground forces.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Minister Dendias will travel to San Francisco to visit the Stanford Platform Lab, part of Stanford University’s Computer Science Department. There, he will meet with professors and research staff to discuss developments in large-scale infrastructure, software platform architectures, and automation of computing platforms.
Later the same day, he will visit the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, engaging with its board members and academic staff.
In the afternoon, Minister Dendias will meet with the Metropolis of San Francisco of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, in a scheduled meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan Gerasimos of San Francisco.
On Tuesday evening, November 18, he is scheduled to meet with California Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis.
Finally, on Wednesday, November 19, Minister Dendias will hold meetings with Greek-American academics and executives from companies specializing in robotics, innovation, artificial intelligence, cyber defense, and security.
